Instrument Rental Information
Since stringed instruments come in various sizes, I recommend you start by renting an instrument. If you choose to purchase, you will want to go to a string specialty shop. Here's a blog that explains why NOT to purchase bargain and internet instruments.

Rental Locations and Websites
I have marked with an asterisk stores that specialize in strings. Some of my students and parents have found that the instruments at the string specialty stores are often of better quality, produce a better tone, and require less servicing. I recommend you call first since some places are open by appointment only. *Perrin and Associates 9050 Frederick Rd. Ellicott City, MD 21043 410-465-1474 *Perrin and Associates 517 N.
